The Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Union sign Agreement on Readmission

On February 28, 2014, Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Union on the Readmission of persons residing without authorisation was signed in Brussels.

On behalf of the Republic of Azerbaijan Agreement was signed by Mr. Fuad Isgandarov, Head of the Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the EU and EU side was represented by Mr. Stefano Manservisi, Director General for Home Affairs of the European Commission and Mr. Teodoros Sotiropolus, Ambassador of Greece (rotating president of the EU Council) to the EU.  

This agreement will enter into force along with the Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Union on the visa facilitation of the issuance of visas, signed on November 29, 2013 in Vilnius, during the EaP Summit.
